• Whenever I post a blog, I see heading formatting issues. This is not just one blog’s problem but it is happening in all the blogs that have titles and sub-title consecutively. The titles and sub-titles are pushed up than the text and the structure of the blog is ruined. Please help.

  • That’s theme style related issue. Ask your theme author to resolve this issue.

You can check the issue with the WordPress default theme “Twenty Twenty-One” and see the changes.

Can you please tell me the original theme name? I can see you modified the theme name, or have you made it from scratch?

?I am looking forward to hearing from you.

    Dear Fahim,
Thank you for your response. I too felt the issue is theme-related. I’m a WordPress newbie so not very sure what I need to do to fix it.
The website and its associated blog was developed (a few years back) on a custom theme by a contractor who isn’t in this business anymore.
Unfortunately, changing the theme to 2021 could change the entire look and feel of the company website – so that’s not an option.
Is there anything else I could try? Anything in the theme settings / functions.php file that I could edit? Any help would be appreciated.
BTW – I noticed the following behavior:
    – if the blog text contains “H1” tags, they disappear in preview / publish mode – only the top title remains.
    – If I add some text between “H1” and “H2”, then the line break is respected.
    – However, if the text I add is a bulleted list, again the line break disappears.
Here are two images showing the problem:

Restore the last good backup! Or the one from before that.

Else, swap out the theme temporarily for something like Twentyseventeen and shut down (disable) any plugins long enough to test things.

If I’m right you’re gonna need to fix the theme or bring it back from the backups. So turn the plugins back on while ‘twenty seventeen’ is still enabled. To make sure it isn’t a plugin like that Jetpack I’m seeing running, maybe causing the HTML or CSS to be broken.

Test and then re-enable that theme.

If you determine it’s the theme and you don’t have a good back up you might want to run another theme or hire someone to fix things and maybe attend to any issues they see broken or needing attention.

Let us know if you need more help.
