    Please don’t intstall it in your website! It is hacked (github doesn’t exist anymore). Every time someone will click a link in your banner the FIRST TIME using MOBILE, it will redirect to unwanted websites. Don’t install it!!!

    Hi @rpetersen29 can you please kindly explain what motivated you to move your open source plugin to a private repo?

    @rpetersen29 Please do not call topics here “tickets”. When you do that (you did in the other topic, I archived it) you are giving people a very wrong impression. It’s not wordplay, it is important.

    You do not have any tickets in these forums. There are no tickets here, just support topics from opensource users of free opensource code. These are not your customers and never has been.

    OK, but @rpetersen29 don’t you think is it weird that two different people had the exact same problem today? I will keep monitoring this in case there is more. You had attacks in your plugin in the past, coundn’t it be happening again?

    (@rpetersen29)

    @rafaelvleite I did not have attack in my plugin in the past, I had scam security companies trying to both extract money from me and get my plugin shut down. I addressed all issues that were brought up by those topics.

    Yes i do think its weird that two people are having the same problem. However, since the plugin has not changed for 5 weeks and has not been compromised I am certain that the issue is not with the plugin, especially considering this is the first time this issue has been raised since the latest commit.

    Thank you for the support @rpetersen29 I just found out a very old malware inside plugins folder, ccode.php, that injects popups. Have just cleared the website, it is strange that quttera and another websites didn’t find it.
    Well, I am very sorry for any inconvenience I caused. I have just purchased your Pro version because your plugin is very usefull, congratulations for your work.
    As a suggested feature for the future, the option to disable the banner for specific post types.
    Please let me know what can I do to repair any mess I caused.
    Thanks and best regards,
    Rafael

    No worries @rafaelvleite, glad you found the source of your issue.

    For the specific posts, you can try something like this in Website Custom Javascript, https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/simple-banner/#how%20do%20i%20disable%20the%20banner%20in%20my%20posts%3F. If you have a specific keyword or multiple in your url for these posts you could do:

    document.addEventListener('DOMContentLoaded', function(){
      var keywords = ['post', 'somethingelse', 'blog'];
      if (keywords.some((keyword) => window.location.pathname.includes(keyword))){
        document.getElementById('simple-banner').remove();
      }
    }, false);

    Of course if you have a lot of custom CSS or margin/padding on your header you may also have to remove that as well. I am always looking to improve the plugin so I will put this in the list of features to add.

    If you could update your initial post with an EDIT describing the issue/resolution that would be great since this is buried on the 2nd page of the topic.

    @jdembowski I have figured out what happened with the help of @rpetersen29, it was a malware from my website, how can I change the thread title, now it seems too aggressive…

    @rpetersen29 How the heck is this considered spam by any definition? That’s what you reported this topic as and that’s not the case.

    1. A user posted a topic.
    2. You replied. Well too.
    3. The topic came to a harmonious conclusion.
    4. I hope there was cake.
    5. The End.

    Anyone reading this topic will see that. There is nothing that needs doing in this topic.

    @jdembowski I’m not sure what you’re talking about and don’t really appreciate the tone. I reported the topic as Other due to the user above requesting information about changing the topic title:

    @jdembowski I have figured out what happened with the help of @rpetersen29, it was a malware from my website, how can I change the thread title, now it seems too aggressive…

    I paraphrased the above user comment in the reported reason. All we are looking for is information if changing the topic title is possible.

    Thread Starter rafaelvleite

    (@rafaelvleite)

    yes @jdembowski please kindly allow me to change the topic title

    @jdembowski Yeah, the title on this one almost made me pass over the plugin. I ended up reading both pages, but normally I would not have and neither would anyone else. People see “Hacked!!” and then that top description and move onto the next option for their needs.

    Only reason I read it was due to my being curious of the 5 star rating for that title and message. If I had anything going on today like 363 days of most years, never would have taken the time.

    Please, let them change the title or remove the post entirely. This is a good product with a great and communicative developer and it’s being seriously held back by… well, your hasty and apparently triggered judgement.

    @rpetersen29 Moderator note: There’s no need to change the title here. The question seems to have been fully addressed. Please do not report this topic again.

    Ah, what the heck. Adjusted the title.
