hello esmi, thank you so very much. through my Cpanel i moved the word press site to an new folder called “infected blog” in order to get rid of the page that showed that i’d been hacked. but know i cannot get into word press. do i need to start all over with a new word press download and build it again? i see the change your pass word instructions, but i’m not sure if they mean for my cPanel or at word press.

I would suggest changing both your cPanel & WordPress passwords post-hack.

I’ve also had the same hack and having problems.

I went to my cpanel and changed the password and then went to the FTP to try and see if I could spot anything obvious and now it keeps timing out and can’t see anything at all!

Not helped by the fact I was doing the site for a friend, but the hosting account is in her name, so I can’t go direct to the host for help until she’s talked to them.

Is there anything at all I can do but wait if I can’t view the site, cpanel or ftp?

Its a hack fix but if you change the perma-links to unfriendly form (default) it seems to fix it. I think he must be manipulating the HTACCESS file.
