    1. In order to post to twitter Microblog Poster is using an Access Token, NEVER your username/password combination. By the way when you create a twitter account in Microblog Poster you’re not providing your password.

    2. The twitter App that YOU create in twitter administration is used by Microblog Poster in order to auto post to your profile. This is done by API and Microblog Poster doesn’t login to twitter in order to do that.

    3. The only time when you’re asked to login to twitter is when you authorize your App to auto post on your behalf. The login is done on twitter site.

    4. In any case Microblog Poster DOESN’T HAVE YOUR PASSWORD SO IT CAN’T LOGIN to twiter on your behalf.

My problem was with another (also reputable) plugin, ‘Gmail SMTP’. It connected to a Singapore IP every time I tried to use it, then I started getting hack attempts from Sri Lanka (IP Address:112.134.161.51), the Republic of Georgia (IP Address:134.19.247.15), Pakistan (IP Address:175.107.1.252) etc. etc. I have purged my security logs so I don’t have the addresses anymore, these were just some from my notes.

I immediately uninstalled the plugin and had some security in place, so it trailed off and seems to be ok now, but it got my test email ids.

The point is, I think someone is hacking the plugins.

I really like this plugin its very useful to share my post to social media, but i feel very bad about this issue.

At first i didn’t know why my twitter account was suspended, when my second twitter account was suspended i email to twitter support team, then they replay may be your account was hacked and also they ask to check my loggin status.

Then i checked my login status i saw one IP logged in from singapore through the app which i was using for this plugin. Again i start new twitter account again i used this plugin after two weeks same problem my account suspended and same suspicious loggin through the app which i use for this plugin.

Same thing is happen for next 2 twitter account.May be some one hacking this plugin.
    Screen shot for your refrence

Please solve this issue because this is amazing plugin i want to use.

If this is an amazing plugin like you say provide 5 stars rating instead of putting this kind of title: “Hacked my twitter account”

Also the right place for this is SUPPORT FORUM and not Ratings..

When it comes to the issue you are experiencing try the following:
    1. Create new twitter App.
    2. Create new twitter account and add it to MicroblogPoster
    3. Disable ALL plugins except Microblog Poster
    4. Authorize your twitter account
    5. Enable again all your plugins
    6. See if that happens again

I think you should scan your server and see if there is any suspicious job running.
Also make sure that all plugins that you’re using are verified plugins (free version hosted at www.ads-software.com), and not any premium hacked plugins etc..

@sawatson and @nandagopal1982 – as the plugin author has indicated the correct location for this type of discussion is in the plugin support forum:
