• Hey peeps, so right now I’m in the bluehost phpAdmin window about to replace a MySQL DB with an edited version. The edited version has 2 users entered, and the orginal… well has too many.

I’m trying to figure out how to safely replace the file _CKE_users with the new file without messing me up. I’m Worried if I delete it now, I’ll get logged out and won’t be able to replace the file with the new file. as you can tell I have SOME training but… well I’ve never been in this exact situation. I’m hoping someone with expertise can tell me what to do, to do this and avoid the headaches of whatever might happen if I deleted this file and rename the new file this name and upload it.

Will I suddenly loose access to PhpMyAdmin? what to do? thanks.

  • The users created in the wordpress database have nothing to do with your phpmyadmin account. If you delete wordpress users it will not affect this other account.

However, I find your intention questionable. To me it sounds more like a hacked database. If that is the case, you should rather proceed as described here: https://www.ads-software.com/support/article/faq-my-site-was-hacked/ – I would not recommend cleaning up the data manually. Importing a backup would be the best solution. Talk to your hoster if necessary.
