had to rollback to 1.9.11

  • really disappointed that a major release would crash my site. on loading my home page (which didn’t have any nextgen galleries) a jquery error would appear. then, on each gallery page, the lightbox features were broken meaning images loaded in new tabs.

    i finally figured out that it was the nextgen update that crashed everything. i rolled it back to the previous stable release and i’m back up and running.

    lesson learned…don’t update everything just because it appears in my plugins list.

    whew.

    ps…i’m using the big format theme and nextgen optimizer premium.

  • Thanks for posting this. I have a backup of the 1.9.7 version which is what I used when I built the site & was considering this option as well. Glad to hear it worked because my first question was if doing so would cause other issues ( say the database structure had changed).

    I know its not a sure thing, but nice to know that you fixed your site using this method.
