  • my personal impression (in order of me checking your site):

    – what is the prominent ‘login’ form for?
    it gives the (false) impression that you have to sign-up and login to get the information;

    – just a single line headline is not enough for me to get interested;
    try to add one or two lines below;

    – possibly have a full question/answer (example or latest) section at the top of the front page;

    – it is not clear that the user can answer questions, until one reads down to the end of one of the questions.

    – it is not clear that the user has to sign-up to ask a question, until he clicked the ‘ask’ button.

    – only now, the ‘login’ section makes sense to me;

    – a forum site might be more suitable for this kind of ‘question/answer’ topic;

    Thanks for your input alchymyth, it all refers to the main site and not the blog, does that look better to you?

    how do visitors find the blog?
    for me, there was no obvious link from the site to the blog.

    again, just my personal impression:
    – the blog is possibly the opposite from the site – too much text immediately on the front page;

    – the font size is a bit small;

    – how do you get from the blog to the site?

    hey alchymyth can you provide feedback on my site? https://www.totalrevue.com I’ve set up a thread just now so you can post feedback there, greatly appreciate it

    @soulgamer101
    please don’t hijack somebody else’s thread to get attention – without even leaving a feedback yourself ??

    Sorry that was unintended it seems like it didnt post my earlier comment (bad connection)

    anyways ill write my feedback again

    first link

    the site looks good and the layout is good. Reason why visitors don’t stick is that there isn’t much content to view. Try incorporating the blog section together with your main site – a variety of information and including your perspective will hold mroe interest.

    May try and expand the coverage of loss you can get, so not just hair loss maybe?

    second link

    It seems like the site is very descriptive and looks tedious from the large amounts of writing of each post. try to vary your media through using pictures, embed videos from youtube able the different hair treatment methods or products you recommend

    also make the navigation friendlier by providing sub categories after each header or even the Q&A part to increase viewing ability of other aspects.

    Hope this helps

    Thank you both,
    alchymyth – I see what you mean, even implementing one piece of your advice already reduces bounce rate (removing the big sign in on the sidebar)

    Regarding the blog – I don’t want people to go from the main site to the blog, just the other way around, I’ve placed links in both the sidebar and footer, but I agree that it isn’t very clear how to go back to the main site.

    Will change this too.

    Thanks
