    One of my sites is in Russian.

    After I activated Performant Translations – now half of the admin area is in English which used to be in Russian before activation.

    I do not use other translations-related plugins. Default WordPress menus are in English (not 3rd part plugins), like “Appearance” and all its submenus.

    WP 6.3.1, PT 1.0.1, SiteGround Optimizer 7.4.0 (I cleared its cache just in case).

    Does this still happen when you temporarily deactivate all other plugins? If you could perhaps share your Site Health info (Tools -> Site Health -> Info -> Copy site info to clipboard), that would be very helpful for me when trying to reproduce this issue.

    Thanks for sharing!

    That’s a lot of plugins, it will take me some time to spin up a test site with those. Tip: you can use https://wp.new/ to create a new WP site quickly.

    In the meantime, what you can also try is:

    1. Deactivate the Performant Translations plugin
    2. Uninstall the Performant Translations plugin
    3. Install & activate the plugin again

    This should delete the PHP translation files and regenerate them.

    Hey @swissspidy,

    Uninstallation actually did help. After reinstalling and activating again on the plugin-install.php screen – everything is working fine so far.

    So it looks like something interrupted the process of PHP translation files creation.
