• Thank you in advance for any help, it’s much appreciated.

First things first. I’m trying to help out a friend. She had a site using Weebly on her own domain/host. Her host stopped supporting Weebly and unfortunately she did not receive the email stating they were no longer supporting the software and to backup the website/posts/etc.

She cannot get into the admin panel for her Weebly site, so we have been trying to find ways around that. There isn’t a full RSS Feed. I can only get the first page of the site and nothing else through the RSS. I tried using an RSS import plugin hoping that would capture all of the posts, but no luck.

I have saved all of her pages and post pages (meaning I clicked on previous, then did save as> Webpage, Complete), with comments, images, etc. as Webpage, Complete.

My question is: Can I take the HTML files and create an RSS.txt of all her posts, pages, comments, and images and upload it to WordPress using the RSS Importer Plugin?

By the time you’ve done that, you can probably copy/paste the content from each of those pages into a new page on the WP site. Seriously! The RSS syntax is not fun.

How much content to you have to move?

Less than 100 blog posts. I’m hoping to keep the comments, but if we have to lose them, then there’s really nothing I can do about that. The pages themselves can easily be recreated, it’s the posts and the comments I’m most worried about.

I would grab an RSS feed from the website, but it only gives me the 10 most recent posts with comments and images.

Thank you for your quick response.

Does their RSS feed allow you to specify a number of posts or a starting post?

Not that I can tell. There’s an RSS feed button on the website, but regardless of which page or post I am on, it only gives me the first ten posts. Trying to change the number in the url doesn’t work (unless I’m doing something wrong there, it’s been a long while).

https://example.com/2/feed – this is what shows when I click the RSS button. Changing 2 to 3 doesn’t work.
I tried adding /80 after /feed and that didn’t change anything either. When I change 2 to 3 in the url, it gives me a 404. ??
