I am using the hand-picked products block and I am getting the following error:
“Error loading block: Invalid parameter(s): attributes”

I am using the latest version of woocommerce, woocommerce blocks and WordPress. I am using the storefront theme. The products are showing on the homepage, but I can’t add any or change the order or take any off now.

This was working fine before – and suddenly stopped working today. Initially I didn’t need the woocommerce blocks plugin, but I added it when the issue first started happening thinking that maybe it would fix it.

The page I need help with: https://diymixmasters.com/

From the backend when I try to edit the block the error is: “Error loading block: Invalid parameter(s): attributes”

But, on the front end the error is: Warning: array_merge(): Expected parameter 2 to be an array, null given in /home/customer/www/diymixmasters.com/public_html/wp-content/plugins/woo-gutenberg-products-block/src/BlockTypes/AbstractProductGrid.php on line 182

    Hi there!

The Hand-picked Products block is part of WooCommerce core, so you shouldn’t require the WooCommerce blocks plugin for it to work. To be sure, I tested this on a sandbox site where only WooCommerce (4.8.0) is activated and Storefront (3.1.0) is installed, and I wasn’t able to recreate this error – adding, editing, and removing the products in the block worked without issue.

What happens when you remove and re-add the block, does the issue persist?

If it does, it could be a conflict caused by another plugin. To determine which, you can do a non-invasive conflict test. Only you – the logged-in Admin user – will see the following changes, normal visitors will be blissfully unaware: start by installing and activating the Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin, and then follow this guide for how to whittle it down:
    https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/troubleshooting-using-health-check/

Once you know which plugin causes the issue, you’ll know which direction to head in for a remedy. Let us know what you find.

If it appears that none of your other plugins are causing this issue, and with just WooCommerce and Storefront active the issue persists, let us know the exact steps for how to recreate it so that we can test it further.

The conflict is with the following plugin from the WooCommerce Extension marketplace: Products By Attributes & Variations for WooCommerce – I am creating a support ticket with them right now.

Thank you for your time and assistance. I thought that I had previously deactivated all the plugins to determine if it was a plugin conflict – before posting here – but, apparently I did not ??

Glad to hear that you found the culprit – thanks for letting us know!

I’ll mark this thread as resolved now. If you have any questions on WooCommerce, I recommend creating a new thread.
