    Hi,

I am trying to restore a backup from a test server to the actual webhost. After running into an error on first attempt, I switched on the “direct download” option on my test server and unchecked the PHP CLI check on the destination webhost.

The download has completed, but it currently seems to hang on “Requesting restore process”. It’s been stuck for a good 20 minutes and the bar is at 0%. I looked at some of the logs posted here and this interval is usually much shorter, so I am worried it has run into an issue. Obviously the plugin tells me not to close the window while the process is ongoing, so I don’t know what to do without causing trouble. Any ideas?

    Hi @underthefeather

Sometimes, with larger backups when download process takes a bit more time, it is possible that your browser may be unable to request restore process using the same window session (e.g. unless you move your mouse).

In such case, when you see the success message, you can safely refresh the page.
Once you refresh, force both processes to stop: https://prnt.sc/1trv1tm

Then you can run the restoration right from the list, it should be downloaded already.

Once you run the restoration, please make sure:
    a) Your PC won’t go into sleep-mode
    b) Screen-saver mode is not enabled or active
    c) [Mac] Drive-sleep mode is not enabled
    d) You have not run the restoration from Opera GX browser
    e) You don’t use any extension that limits resource usage or “saves energy”

Usually you don’t need to care about above things, but this is the complete list of things that can cancel the restore process.

Let me know if that solves your issue ??
    Thank you!

As we didn’t hear any reply in last days.
I can assume that you resolved the issue.

Feel free to open new topic if I am wrong!
    Thank you ??
