Happy Accident!

When something goes wrong (Easy Google Fonts does not work on the latest WordPress version) which causes something even better to come along (Fonts Plugin not only works on the latest WP version, it also connects to Adobe Fonts), I call that a happy accident! Such is the case with Easy Google Fonts no longer working on my lastest WordPress update. The plugin itself even says “not tested on your version of WordPress.” So I did a search and discovered Fonts Plugin. It has everything that Easy Google Fonts offered, but it’s not limited to just Google fonts. It automatically connects to my subscription of Adobe Fonts, which happen to be far better and more professional in most cases, than Google fonts. I can also add my own fonts. The user interface is clean and well-designed, and the documentation is excellent. Plus, the price is less than what you’d pay for a single font family. (There’s a free version, but I really want all the features of the paid version.) I really appreciate the professional work that went into creating this excellent plugin.
