• I was editing functions.php file in child theme with this plugin. And the plugin overwrote also style.css file with contents of functions.php. I would have noticed that I was editing the wrong file, because style.css weights about 700 kb and it should have taken time even to load this css into the plugin editor (not mentioning the different contents of the file).

Another time I was editing functions.php and this plugin saved only the small part of this file (only my changes).

Thanks God, there was a backup archive with style.css file so the problem was fixed. I had original functions.php file so there was no problem with that.

WP version: 5.3.18, PHP version: 7.2.34

    Hi Pavlo,

We totally understand how frustrating it can be when something unexpected happens.

We’ve looked into this, and it seems like there might have been a misunderstanding. Our plugin is designed not to overwrite files outside the selected file, including the parent style.css,functions.php.

If you’re certain, there wasn’t a mix-up with file selection. Could you share the specific theme zip and a quick video of the steps you have taken at [email protected] to help us pinpoint the problem? This will really help us figure out what might have gone wrong.

We appreciate your patience and understanding.

    Thanks,

    Hello,

Strange, but I could not reproduce the issue with the functions.php file where it used to save only the part of the file. The issue with style.css did not reproduce either. Maybe the issue was due to my mistake because I was working with this plugin for the first time.

    Anyways plugin requires further observation.

Thank you for your time and sorry for potentially misleading anyone.

We are pleased to hear that the problem could not be reproduced and may have been a one-time occurrence while you were getting familiar with the plugin.

Since our investigation showed that the issue did not originate from our end, would you consider updating or removing your review to reflect this? Your experience and feedback are valuable, and an updated review would be incredibly helpful for other users exploring our plugin.
