Hi, I installed KEYY on 2 of my sites to test and evaluate.
On the one mentioned above it did not work as the proposed user at the bottom – was only a part of the full username- I don′t know why this happened.
When I scan the code and try to login and choose the proposed user it does not work(of course) but if I enter the correct user using the keyboard, it still does not work. After 3 attemps I am being locked out (a function in the plugin Wordfence I use)

Now I can′t log in neither manually the old way OR using KEYY, and it is VERY frustrating
Note- that I am not using the default URL for login

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hi,

Sorry about the delay over the weekend.

You can disable Keyy by adding the following define in wp-config.php:

    define(‘KEYY_DISABLE’, true);

Or you can remove the Keyy plugin from the wp-content/plugins folder

Could you open a support request via the mobile app by sending the device log files?

It sounds like there could be a bug with Keyy not picking up the correct username which means your unable to login.

    Best Wishes,

    Ashley

Thanks for quick answer anyway. I foudn out that solution in your FAQ:s after a while so I am fien for now.
I think – that when I had installed and activated KEYY – I noticed an old “unsecure” username and changed that one to a std more secure – without logging out after KEYY activation. Maybe that is why it suggested the wrong/the old probably) user. But I should be able to change that user to another – but I guess the QR code is created based in the current user aand that is why I had this mismatch
I don′t think there is a bug but maybe there should be some instruction or warning not to change user after having activated KEYY and without logging out.

    Thanks again

    Hi,

    Thanks for that information.

Yes the username is part of the QR code so maybe the page was cached?

I’ll look into reproducing this and will add a fix if I can reproduce.

Glad you got it working in the end.

    Best Wishes,

    Ashley
