• I’ve been testing this with 5 sites that I host on GridPane.

    Pros:

    • I really like the look of the UI. It’s much cleaner than most other bulk site management tools that I’ve used.
    • Plugin updates are fast.
    • I like having an overview of site performance and PHP issues on the dashboard.
    • I like the hourly incremental backup option.
    • Support was quick to respond to my questions.

    Cons:

    • You can only take 3 manual backups per month, which isn’t enough in my opinion.
    • I don’t see theme updates on the dashboard. I have to manually go into the Updates tab, go to Themes, and check there.
    • Sometimes it tells me that there is an update when there isn’t.
    • Sometimes there is an update available in WordPress but WP-Umbrella doesn’t show it. I found out that if I click on the plugin name in WP-Umbrella, it syncs and recognizes the update.

  • Hello dear,

I’m Aurelio, the CEO of WP Umbrella!

Thank you for your message and review! Here are a few elements that might interest you:

    – While automatic backups are unlimited and can be made every hour, we limite the ability for people to make manual backup to 3 because they are not incremental. This means that making a manual backup is such an heavy process for both servers. We believe that with hourly automatic backups, people don’t need to do more than 3 manual backups! ??

    – Actually, the “update tab” of the dashboard refers to every update you can make. This includes, plugin, wordpress core and theme! ??

    – Sometimes there is a small latency between your WordPress site and WP Umbrella, because we run many processes simultaneously, but it’s usually no more than 30secondes.

Feel free to contact our support if you have any other question!
