    Has it been abandoned? i really like the look of this plugin but it seems dead with no updates for months and no updates for the last 3 iterations of wordpress which is a security and compatibility problem that is stopping me using it

    No, the plugin is not abandoned. It is feature complete and there have been no security or compatibility updates required.

    I will be pushing out an update shortly though to change the twitter icon to the new X icon.
