• Hi,

I’m using the Hatch theme and I’d like recent posts to not show up on my front page. In other words, I’d like just the blog name, blog description, and header image (plus copyright line, main nav, etc.) to appear, without the posts at the bottom.

Does anyone know if this is possible, and, if so, how to do this?

I tried setting my front page to a static page via Settings > Reading. This suppressed the posts, but I couldn’t figure out how to include a header image on the static page.

    My site is lawrenceandrewkim.com.

    Thanks!

  • Login to dashboard.
    Settings>reading settings.

    In Front page displays: Choose
    A static page (select below)

In this manner you will be able to use only a static page as homepage.

For header image you will have to work a little on css and include it in header.php file of your theme

Thanks for your response, Marvel Labs!

I’m relatively new at CSS. Do you know the CSS code for including a 640 x 360 (landscape) image on the static page? So that the resulting page would look just like the template, but without the posts at the bottom?
