Have all Twitter plugins been screwed over by Twitter?
-
Running a couple of websites.
Some 2.9, some 3.01..in other words various flavours.I use or at least used to use the Twitme plugin to post from blog to twitter. Worked fine.
Noticed that the installation for twitme changed, and now it no longer connects (another post viewed here)
It save the info, when you save it, but that’s it.
This was a simple pluginSo no response from author, just a bunch of other people with the same problem.
Moved on to another twitter plugin, TwitPost
Same deal here, Can’t authenticate…yada yada.Tried a few others, and having the same problem.
Has twitter somehow made some changes in how plugins are working with them? Hard to find out who’s side this is on, and even more annoying not getting any answers from the developers when posting problems about their plugins.
I don’t want to use a small url, or place code into my blogs, I don’t want to use cig.ly, or bit.ly and have to sign up for yet another “keycode” in order for it to work.
All I want is to post to the blog or have others post to the blog and in turn have that sent up to twitter…
Is it really too much to ask?
I know the developers of the plugins, work very hard, and I’m very appreciative of this fact, but I’m not a coder by any means, and just want simple as opposed to “enter this code here, or place this between this <div and that div, or register for your new keycode…yada yada yada).
Yes I’m frustrated
