• It is time for plugin requests again. I would like to write one that could benefit a large number of WordPress users – not just something for a small niche market. Any ideas? ??

  • Is there a website that list all the plugins for wordpress and what they do?

I would love to see a plugin that provides drag and drop page ordering in the admin area. Assigning a numerical value to order pages is clumsy and difficult to follow once the number of pages starts to grow.

There’s a great form creation plugin at https://www.deliciousdays.com/cforms-plugin. It uses ajax to allow for reordering of form fields. Something similar for page reordering would be fantastic.

I would also like a plugin which scans through your posts for certain keywords and allows you to convert them into links by assigning certain URLS automatically. So basically you would enter a list of keywords with a URL associated to each one and it would go through all existing posts and convert them to links as well as any new posts.

I’d love to get a plugin that restores the “days” option for the what_to_show attribute, instead of limiting it to just number of posts:

Don’t know why WP devs decided to disable it for 2.1, but I much prefer my blog’s front page to default to that output.

How about a pluglin for the stats, something like the stats on wordpress.com …… if you browse thru the support topics for them, you will come across atleast 25 posts on a request for the same…..

How possible would it be to create a plugin that “demotes” wordpress blog posts to bbpress forum posts? Does something like this exist? I posted this same question on the bbPress forums as a thread, here:

    Try this:

    Navigation Tool for WordPress

    How about a portfolio plugin

creating a new page but you have to fill in other stuff like:

    Client

    What does the client want

    Projectname

    My thoughts

    Plan

    scetches

There should be a function that you can show that your working on a project, and everytime you update your project it gets back on top

and haha sorry now im just spurting ideas

In the navigation there should be sections that say currently working on… and finished

as extension for this there could be a changelog extra for the code freaks and their portfolio

    ow another idea

how about a module that checks ip numbers to see if you have access to a catagory

for me this is useable because the portfolio bit should be viewable for school only and not always for outsiders.
Now i have to keep in mind wich projects i can publish on the net

    @metalmini: I like the idea…

@c00l2sv: thnx, i did put alot of thought to it and i think that it would be a great plugin for most designers, coders that have a wordpress blog.

The whole idea of a blog is that you can update your users from day to day, so if you can show a status of your project using a blog it would be a real big + (in my eyes that is :-))
