The W3TC compatibility check says Opcode cache is not installed, but we have APC installed on the server, and it is available as a choice in W3TC’s options, which we have picked for the cache methods.

The site is running on a dedicated server. There have been some issues with the website, and I’m wondering if this could be the cause.

    Thanks for any help.

I installed Xcache instead, and now it seems to be working okay.

    Maybe.
If you use PHP >= 5.5 don’t use Xcache. It’s old and buggy.

To enable APC you have to set the enable flag to 1 (also for CLI) on php.ini on your server’s etc/php folder. Else ask your hosting
