Wouldn’t Trust the Reviews

I contacted the plugin author with a bug that made it so I could not export our redirects (a feature they say is available on the plugin page). Their support responded saying I needed a premium version of the plugin which they would give me for free if I gave them 5 stars. I did so so that I wouldn’t lose access to my hundreds of redirects, but this did not fix the issue. Our sysadmin was able to figure out a way to export our redirects so we could finally delete this plugin.
Generally the plugin worked as expected on one site and didn’t work on another. While they could be legitimate, I would be wary of some of the 5-star ratings since they may be due to the author demanding a rating to provide support.
