Have trouble getting this plugin to work with my custom theme.

    I am developing my own custom theme. I need a way for a user to be able to set the thumbnail so that it is a video instead of a post.

    Image thumbnails are already setup. I assume that this plugin will display the embded video in place of where the image-thumbnail is, or will i need to make some extra changes?

    I have installed the plugin and ran all the test, the ones that mattered passed.

    However when i create a new post i do not see the video options. I have used the exact same name for the custom field. Am i missing something?

    Also if i just try and copy the embded youtube link into the post it self. I get a “No video thumbnail for this post.”

    Can anyone help?

    Video Thumbnails is only used to set the featured image. The video options you see in that video are a part of the theme they’re using, so you’ll need to develop that into your theme or use a plugin to do the same.

    The custom field is used if you aren’t pasting the video into the post itself, so if you leave the setting blank you should see it working when you put a video in a normal post.
