• I need the file to NOT go to the media library, instead upload like a normal gravity forms file upload, because when you look at the entry it just says “View form entry for file details.” I understand it might be good for some people to have it visible in the Media Library, but I need to know who uploaded each video, and if they are all just in the library I can’t tell who uploaded what video.

I am pretty good at PHP so if you can just tell me where the function is that is moving it to that directory that would help.

    Hi

You should find the action which moves the files to the media library in the core class file. You should be able to replace the function called by that action and move the files anywhere you like.

I would be interested in knowing how to change this as well, bencuslidge is it possible to share your solution?

Same here. Would love to see a configurable option for this. Not very happy about private uploads being placed in the semi-public media library. But, I will have a look and see if I can modify the action until then.

Anyways, a huge thanks for such an amazing plugin. Extremely useful for anyone looking for a better upload feature in Gravity Forms. Works great especially with large files.

    I need this to.
Please make an option (just link to a directory per submit). Would be very useful!
    Thanks

    Hi

The media library feature is a core feature and will take a bit or work to offer an alternative, that said i really like the idea.

Adding this to the next major update, it’s taking a little longer than i thought, just need to find the spare time between work.

    Hi

If it worked fine before, what has changed, have you updated wordpress or any other plugins? Have you added any new plugins?

It may be a server issue, can you see if there is an error log file in the plugin folder, paste the contents here.

    Hi

I understand your urgency, but you have to realise that this is not a premium plugin with premium support. This plugin is developed for free on my free time and that I have a day job as most developers.

I wish to assist you as best a possible but you have to provide answers to my initial questions.

Have you updated anything, have you added any new plugins recently?

You stated that the plugin worked fine up until recently. Plugins don’t just stop working for no reason, there must be some other factor at play, either updates, new plugin causing a conflict or a server issue.

You can also try enabling wordpress debug mode and try uploading a file or two to see if you get any error messages:

    https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Debugging_in_WordPress

Did you check in the adv uploader plugin root folder within wp-content/plugins for an error.log file?

Without some debug info it’s very difficult for me to assist you further.
