• Hi Richard, I do love this plugin it is excellent, but it keeps dropping off.
It’s ceasing to work on more and more sites and speed tests show sites taking longer to load. We are now on WP 4.9.1. Do you have plans to upgrade the plugin?
Or can you check out what’s wrong????

    Hi!

Development on the plugin has been slow indeed. We have been struggling to find the time to update the plugin. Hopefully the new year will bring some new time.

For the Slow loading times, would that be the front end? Or the admin side?

Hi Eric, thanks for getting back to me. The most effective thing about this plugin is that it knocks off a second for mobile. So when you run the Google speed test, with the plugin working my site is 4 seconds (which is just about livable with) and without it’s 5 seconds.
As Google is putting a lot of importance on the speed of sites to add to its SEO algorithm, it was a handy tool to have while it was working. I just have more and more client sites now that it’s dropping off. So if you could possibly find time to update it and get it working again, that would be fab.

Front end and back end are not a particular issue, I can live with the odd second delay

Thanks, I got an update from the server developer. He hopes to migrate the code next month to a faster environment.

I’m a bit suprised that the front-end also adds a delay. Do you use the htaccess method? Or the normal (PHP) method?

I put some php.ini files up to help the speed, but the server will have limits anyway.

Yes, I’ve tested the site speed with and without Gzip, it was 4 seconds to load with Gzip and 5 without. I know it’s not much, but Google ranks speed, so every second helps.

Do you have a release date for the updated plugin?

A client is complaining that he has a slow back end, lol.
