Having Customizr child theme issue

    I am not new to creating child themes, but mysteriously when I tried creating a child them for the lovely Customizr theme, things don’t work – Customizer live preview gives me blank white screen on the right side. And that happens only on the specific server environment. It works in my local dev env and other server envs on the same host and php version. I have tried many things including deactivating all my plugins. I even tried activating the child theme blindly and briefly in a live env (emptied cache totally – btw, I do that with each attempted fix) and tried it with no success (the site comes out blank). I hate to post this java scripts console error, but that is the only thing I can give you to see if anything in it rings a bell:

  • I don’t know this code but for sure THE best way to create a Child Theme for Customizr is Childify Me. Its creator even works for Customizr and you see him help on this forum. He’s brilliant.

    cannot reproduce the “blank page” issue.
    You might need to enable the WordPress debug to see if any PHP error pops out:

    The javascript error above should not be related to the “blank page” issue, it only seems to happen when live previewing a non active child-theme of Customizr, and only impacts on the social links options in that very situation.

    I can swear that I was doing exactly what Childify Me plugin just did, but I know I should be humble enough to say it must be something I have missed. Both @debshadovitz (Deb), and @d4z_c0nf (Rocco) are awesome humans. I really appreciate you guys. Yes, it worked when I used the great plugin Childify Me by Rocco. You will not know how much time I have wasted on this. I love Customizr theme. It looks like there is another reason to love it even more: its community.

    @remedy17 Thank you for your kind words. And I know how you feel. Before I learned of Childify Me, creating a child theme was not fun to say the least. Between that and the Customizr theme, my websites life has become much easier.
