• Hello,

I am fairly new to wordpress. Long story short, I originally built a site with bootstrap, html & css. On that site, I displayed a custom logo using a pdf file. I’ve since migrated the site to WP but my .pdf logo shows up with a white background. On my original site all I had to do was make the background transparent, how do I do this in WP?

  • PDF’s cannot show with a transparent background, you need .png format to do that (or .bmp or .gif).

If you can still create a new logo from your original design, that’s easier than trying to remove the background from a .pdf file that you’ve exported (since the background would be the original color, likely white)

Reach out if you need more help ??

    Cheers!

    Thanks!

I’ve just converted the original logo .eps to a png file. Will I be able to use that? Or do I need to have a new one made?

Also if it helps, I am using the Layers theme.

    Hi Spencer!
I am also trying to upload my logo to my WP Woocommerce site (using Boutique theme right now if that’s relevent). I have saved from my design software using PNG extension but white background still showing upon upload. Is it the theme, Woocommerce, the manner in which I saved the design, or my lack of familiarity with code that is causing my logo to not come through with transparent background? New to my design software, unfamiliar with code, and research all day yesterday turned unfruitful. Not sure how to determine the problem(s) to solve. Please help? Thanks!
