Having problems after update

  • I recently upgraded wordpress to 2.8.4 and i noticed i needed a plugin updated. I clicked upgrade automatically and it usually works fine, but it is now showing this error:

    “Downloading update from https://downloads.www.ads-software.com/plugin/easy-adsenser.2.7.zip.

    Unpacking the update.

    Could not copy file /public_html/wp-content/upgrade/easy-adsenser.2.7/easy-adsenser/screenshot-1.gif”

    I think i forgot to disable the plugins before the update, and back it up…A similar error appears when i try to install a new plugin. I look in where the files are stored and inside the wp-content foler there is now an upgrade folder where it contains the wordpress 2.8.41. Please can anyone tell me how to fix this problem? Also, is that where wordpress was meant to be installed in (/upgrades/wordpress 2.8..)? pleas can someone help me out with this
