• I had setup my blog so that it can only be accessed by registered users for security purposes and I was using a plug-in called “Registered Only” by Carthik Sharma.

This plug-in had worked fine with Internet Explorer (until I upgraded from Word Press 2.6 to 2.7), but with all other browsers, including Firefox, Safari, Opera, and Netscape, it was impossible to get past the log-in screen after putting in your user name and password, even when I was still using Word Press 2.6.

I am also running a plug-in called “Log-In Stayput” by Justin S. Peavey which reverts people back to the main log-in screen after they have logged out, but I don’t think this has anything to do with the root of the problem.

I have tried some other similar security plug-ins as well like “Members Only” by Andrew Hamilton, “Private WP” by Jacob Kruse, and “Registered Users Only” by Viper007Bond and, with any of these other log-in security plug-ins, the result is still the same, which means you can never get past the log-in screen after putting in your username and password.

I would like to finally make my site secure yet still accessible by all browsers, but, as I mentioned, with WordPress 2.7 I can’t even get into the web site at all using the “Registered Only” plug-in anymore, which at least worked with Internet Explorer in Word Press 2.6

So at the moment my site is no longer secure, but I would like to be able to secure it again using a plug-in which would only allow user access on a log-in protected basis, and which would work with all browsers on Word Press 2.7.

If any ideas please kindly let me know.

    Thanks,

    Marc
