Having text on hover always white

Hi,
I am trying to make every text color on hover state white. Curently it is default color (some sort of blue). I tried to make css for inner, outer, hover, etc. But still, when I hover over the outer span or inner span, even on border between items, it shows blue instead of white.
Is there any way to customize css to always show menu items text in white?
