Having trouble editing Virtue stylesheet

    I’m very new to coding and WordPress and had a few questions about using the Virtue theme.

    I have tried to make several changes in creating my website, most of which refer me to the stylesheet.css, which I’m having trouble with.

    For example:

    I have tried to smooth the edges on my images by inputting: “#content img {border: 5px solid #ddd; margin: 0 10px 5px 0; -moz-border-radius: 7px;}” into stylesheet.css but I see no change with my images.

    I have tried several times to remove the shadow border around my images by inputting several different recommended codes into stylesheet.css, again to no avail.

    I have tried to change the background colour of a table column but again have not been successful.

    Any help with this would be greatly appreciated!!
