I created a homepage I wanted my site to look like a website not a blog. when you click on the home page picture it will take you to the menu in this menu I can create the first link but the links after that I cannot create to take you to the next page and then there will be another page after that. Ideas anyone? I have tried this in HTML and it still doesn’t work. https://www.personaltouch-portraits.com

Using the editor at your Dashboard, either copy the permalink for each page or view each page and somewhere save the links for all the pages, then edit your https://personaltouch-portraits.com/new-front-page/portfolio/ page and add the links if that is where you want them to be. And of course, you should also add some kind of “Return to Home” link at each page.

Thank you. Can’t wait to try it.

Now that I am not in a hurry, when I first tried it, I did to just what you said with copying the permalink, the shortlink (tried both ways) I could do one link after that, none of the others took to the linking. I don’t know HTML but I feel know enough to add a link. The only way I could link any of them, is through the html tab because I couldn’t even get the paper clip to pop the box up to enter a link on the text page. Not even with the keyboard shortcuts, it would show I clicked on it but didn’t do anything, so I went to the html tab.

As far as adding it in the editor. I have no idea what tab to click on to put any links in anywhere. There is a template list. I imagine I would have to choose one and put it in there. I have no idea which one to put it in.

Then after that, there is the second subcategory. Such as HOME PAGE> NEW FRONT PAGE> PORTFOLIO> SENIORS> WEDDINGS> COMMERCIAL and so on. SENIORS> WEDDINGS> COMMERCIAL linking to PORTFOLIO. Then when clicking on SENIORS, WEDDINGS, OR COMMERCIAL those links it should take you to the destination page with the final slideshow. I still have to learn how to use in NextGen like the back of my hand because it’s a mess.

Yes, that feature is only available in visual mode. In text mode, however, I sometimes copy an existing entry to paste it next so I can edit the link.

When you edit a page, that “paper clip” tab which is actually three chain links is how you add a link behind highlighted text.

In your case where you are not using your theme’s usual features, just use your own template for all pages.

That is where you can set the order of pages for a navigation menu and its drop-down menus that appear when you hover over a parent page, but you are not using a navigation menu. So, just leave each page as “Main Page (no parent)”.
