Having Trouble Updating Files

  • I own a wordpress website, smallbusinessloans.com. Every time I press the “update file” button in the editor, it lands me on the homepage and doesn’t save any of my new changes. When I go back and look at that file, all changes have been erased.

    Any thoughts for me? I am using wordpress 3.0.

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem? If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems?

    – resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin? Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.
