hCaptcha + Contact Form 7 (+ WP Fastest Cache) = Can’t submit form

    Hi,

    we have noticed a problem with submitting Contact Form 7 forms. When the page is cached, the form does not submit. When the browser’s cache is deleted, it suddenly works. But reloading the page and submitting the form again, it does not work again.

    The problem only happens when hCaptcha plugin is active. When the plugin is deactivated, it works.

    When the plugin is active, but captcha is deactivated for logged-in users, the form submits (for logged-in users) correctly as well.

    Console shows this JS notice, but I don’t know if this might be a part of the problem:

    Invalid “SameSite“ value for cookie “INGRESSCOOKIE”. The supported values are: “Lax“, “Strict“, “None“ from the script at https://hcaptcha.com/getcaptcha

    Do you have any idea how to fix this?

    Plugins used (newest versions):
    – hCaptcha
    – Contact Form 7
    – WP Fastest Cache

    I tried to reproduce the problem on the test site – with no success. Everything works well with WP Fastest Cache.

    Can you create a page with a very simple form, in other words, to create a minimal reproducible example?

    Also, I have to know all the settings of the WP Fastest Cache.

    I tried a lot of attempts to replicate the issue on my local site – no luck. CF7 sends the email.

    It is something related to your website only. You should hire a developer who can debug what is going on and report. We will make a fix then (if the issue is caused by our code).
