Hello! I have a question about HD Quiz. Could you please let me know if it is possible to configure the login to only the quiz page, leaving the other pages on the site open to all users? If the entire site requires login right from the landing page (home page), it limits too much other use of the site and limits traffic to the site. The person who succeeds best in the quiz may receive a monetary prize, and I would like to prevent possible abuses in advance. The point is that the quiz can only be taken once, and there is a time limit, but if it’s open to everyone, this can be circumvented, as you said, by clearing the browser or using incognito mode. The purpose is also for the user to send me the results after completing the visa, but in this option the user can change his score before sending, so the user’s results should probably be registered on the site somewhere, and this obviously requires registration? Does the user then also have access to the private data of the main user (me)? The quiz would be open to all high school students in Finland, so they would probably need a common username and one password? Or could I just create (how) a one time log in link to all participants? What would be the most reasonable way?

You don’t need to restrict all, or even any pages to logged in users.

This FREE addon will save the results for all quiz takers. HOWEVER, it will only save the name of the quiz taker if that quiz taker is currently logged in.

The PRO addon (https://hdplugins.com/product/save-results-pro/) allows you (among other things) to add a custom form to the start of the quiz where you can ask the user’s name and email, or anything else.

Based on what I see you want, the following is what you need.

    • Install the Limit Attempts Addon https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/hd-quiz-limit-attempts/

      – This will allow you to only allow the quiz to be accessible to logged in users, and it will allow you to make it so that each user can only take the quiz once.
    • Install this addon, the Save Results Light addon.

      – Since only logged in users will be able to take the quiz, as long as all you need to know is the username, datetime, and score, this will be all you require. If you need additional data, consider the PRO addon.
    • Now all you need is a way for users to register and log into the site.

      – HD Quiz is a quiz plugin, not a user registration and management plugin, so you’ll need to choose a plugin for this. I have no affiliation with this plugin, but it looks like https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/user-registration/ will work for you.

Saved result data is only accessible to editors and administrators of your site.
