Head-butting when jump to footnote and back

Thank you for furthering FD Footnote. I look forward to using this.
I used to manually create footnotes using a jump anchor in the footnote number. To avoid head-butting when an user jump to it, I create a pseudo class for it and use css solve the problem.
When we tested the FD Footnote plugin, I cannot use the same trick. We have serious head-butting, by about 130 px. What do you suggest I can do? I posted this question in FD’s plugin and no response for over 8 months.
