• Hi,

I would like to get rid of the space where it says “just another wordpress website”, including the search box (I can put that in later), so that my whole website moves up. Is that possible? What the name of that space anyway?

    Thanks,
    Naveen

  • Without a link to your site or a mention of what theme you’re using it’s a bit hard to comment.

The “Just another wordpress website” is almost definitely your site’s tagline. You can edit or remove it under “Settings” > “General”.

As peredur says, we can’t tell you much else without knowing your theme. However, I suspect that you can find the code you want to modify in a file named header.php.

Or by setting the display property to ‘none’ in the CSS file, which will get rid of the space without messing up the template file and affecting the existence of the site description which, if set properly, can be useful for SEO.

Without more info it’s hard to advise on what would be best.
