    Hi there,

I’m slowly getting the hangs of this plugin. Is there a way that I can specify ads not to show on the header directly? It seems that this is triggered whenever the verification code is injected.

I tried turning of auto-ads in my Adsense account, but the banner still showed (even when I set a page exception as well).

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi infrangilis,

    thanks for reaching out.

The AdSense “Auto ads” function can place ads automatically on your site. They decide about position, size, and number of ads.

If you enabled Auto ads through Advanced Ads then you can remove their code in Advanced Ads > Settings > AdSense > Verification code & Auto ads.

Since October 2019, AdSense can inject Auto Ads on every website, that contains AdSense ad unit code. Auto Ads can now be displayed on any website where you have embedded a manual AdSense ad.

If you still discover Auto ads please got your AdSense Dashboard > Ads > Overview and disable the Auto ads function there too.

You can follow this tutorial and learn how to place AdSense ads manually on your site. This makes sure that AdSense ads will appear on positions of your choice on mobile and desktop.

    Best regards,
    Henning

I have the same problem with https://www.holmpc.co.uk/holmpcblog

I want to display an advert in the sidebar, but when I add it, I also get a banner ad at the top. I didn’t add this, and I can’t get rid of it without turning off ads altogether. What can I do?

AutoAds is disabled in the AdSense dashboard, and in Advanced Ads.

    Hi holmpc,

    thanks for reaching out.

I checked your page and saw the sidebar ad but nothing in the header. I guess it was just Google taking their time to fully disable the auto ads.

Please let me know if you need anything else.

    Best regards,
    Henning

The developer actually reached out to me, and went through it with me one step at a time until the issue was fixed (stellar support).

    Here’s what I did:
    – Make sure AutoAds are off from Advanced Ads, and Adsense account.
    – Clear any unused placements and ads.
    – Clear cache, and manually insert the ads where I want them to show up.

Thanks. It’s now only happening on one machine, so it must be a caching thing, but it’s odd. It happens in any browser on that one machine, despite hard reloads and a clear of each browser cache. I’m pretty happy that it will clear itself up in time though, and it’s not a problem if I’m the only one seeing it!

    Thanks for your responses.

Edit – Just as I posted that, it finally loaded fine on that machine too, so all good.
