This is possible using PHP snippet using the generate_after_logo hook.

This particular hook lets you place things right after the .site-logo <div>.

This should help you place your ads/banner beside it.

Example:

add_action( 'generate_after_logo' , function(){
//do your banner script or markup here. 
});
