Header and footer when updating theme version

  • Hi, there.

    Everytime I upgrade my theme version I lose my header customization (e.g. google analytics track code) and footer (customised text).

    I’ve just installed a child theme but I’m not sure I’ll avoid the issue explained above with this.

    Can anyone assist, please?

  • Don’t edit your theme files, Its not good way to make changes.

    Just create child theme for making changes else you could not restore your content and files
