Header and pager color are not right, help me fix it please!

I’m tweaking out my girlfriends wordpress site, and I can’t figure out a couple things. I’ve spent days trying to figure this out, but I don’t really know enough about this stuff to get any further. If you want to see what I’m talking about go to the site here. I have a main header image that I want centered, then I created a tile to fill in the spaces to the left and the right of the main image, but the tile just sits right on top of the main header image. What do I need to change to make it tile on either side of the main header image?

Also when I was coloring all the different slices in photoshop it said the dark pink/purpley color was 9d2c80. I used the same colors for all the slices and they look great, but when I use the same color to input the background color in the css sheet, it comes out lighter. Is there a way to make the background color match up?

Any help is greatly appreciated! I’m at my wits end with this stuff! Please help. Thanks in advance!
