    I’ve purchased the Pro version of the Period WordPress theme for this site – https://www.gaucheair.com
    I’d like to use a Header image but the grey block (Header Background area) is in the way. The block appears too big. The other option is to insert an image in the Background, but when I save and publish it disappears. I don’t like the Primary Menu and prefer to use the Secondary Menu because there are no gaps between the buttons or menu items.

    Thanks for upgrading, and for bringing these issues to my attention.

    If you’d like to reduce the size/height of the header area, please add the following CSS:

    .site-header {
      padding: 0 5.5556% !important;
    }

    You can copy and paste that code into the “Custom CSS” section in the Customizer (Appearance > Customize). Once added, it should take affect right away.

    It will tighten up the space around the logo like this: https://pics.competethemes.com/2G140f2k1M29

    Secondly, it looks like the header background image won’t display if the header has a background color set. What you can do is navigate to the section Colors>Header in the Customizer, and reset the background color to the default. The background image will then display properly.

    I will be fixing error this in the next update for Period Pro.

    Thanks Ben. I managed to use your advice for a work-around.
