Header Extras Widget Area Appearance Problem

Hi,

I want to place two small flags as images in the Header Extras Widget Area. When I insert them, they appear under each other instead of next to each other. I see no way to resolve this issue in the theme. Does anyone know if I can use css to solve my problem?

I have tried different sizes, choosing a different Header Style where the extras are separate from the menu, but nothing helps. There should be plenty of room to place to images next to each other. Both flags are 16px in width.
