Header Graphic Load Fails ONLY in IE

  • Site works OK in preliminary config, but the header graphic fails to load on the main page only with Internet Explorer. Works fine with Firefox, Chrome, various Android browsers…just not IE.

    Any thoughts on where to start troubleshooting this? I have done no code tweaks or anything that would mess things up, to the best of my knowledge.

    Theme: Arcade Basic.

  • Hi. IE is notorious for CSS bugs. Perhaps the problem is in your theme. In any case you should contact the theme author.

    I had no idea IE was such a mess, but whenever I do have to use it, I notice that a fair amount of sites seem to have trouble with it.

    Dunno if the theme author is available, but I’ll try.

    No (0) support for the free version. 8-(

    There’s a theme support thread for this theme here, so I’ve posted this question there. In the meantime, switching to “Static Page” makes the header graphic load in IE (why?), so that’s a quick-&-dirty fix. I’ve never been particularly enamored of the bog-roll post format anyway. I can live with this kludge. [shrug]
