Header image cropped after removing gravatar

Header is cropping with gravater disabled (disabled this way: https://github.com/jameskoster/highwind/wiki/Snippets)
In another tread I read something about a piece of code, but where to add that piece of code? I tryed different places but no luck.
Please help.
