Header Image Displays in Both Header and Footer No Footer Widgets Showing

Hello,
I would like to know why the header image is showing up in both the header and footer area on the FRONT Page?
I used the demo image to make sure it was not my image that was a problem. When you click on the menu items on the front page you will see that the image I assigned to show up in the footer is different on pages that are NOT the FRONT page. On Non-fronot pages I can see footer 1, footer 2 and Site Info which is missing from the FRONT page as well.

Twenty seventeen is a very nice theme. It is very modern. Thank you for the theme. It has so many possibilities. You all have done a great job.

I am hoping the header image displaying in the footer and covering up the footer widgets is not too hard to fix.
