Header Image Going Behind Primary Nav Bar
-
I’m using Storefront with Boutique child theme and am putting changes in Boutique’s style.css and functions.php.
I am trying to have a large header image but after uploading one, the nav pane is covering the bottom of the header image. Using CSS Site Origin, I can play around with the margins and padding of both the nav pane and header image, but the nav seems to be part of the header rather than the nav being called in AFTER the header; it seems to sit in the lower area of the header.
Attaching an image. Site is not live yet so can’t post link, but I can log someone in to the WP site if they want to poke around and help me out. I am good about pasting in functions and css if someone can tell me how to lower the nav bar.
My theme says:While you can crop images to your liking after clicking Add new image, your theme recommends a header size of 1950 × 500 pixels.
But as you can see in the image, it puts the nav over the header. Also, it scales it to something like 235 instead of being 500 px. THANKS in advance for any help!
