Header image loads image from page instead of general image

  • When i set a header image in the customizer under header image, it is displayed on every page. However, when i insert an image on the page, the header image is replaced by this image.

    How to solve this?

  • Hi there,

    This is how this theme is designed to work. On posts or pages where a featured image is set, that featured image is used for the header image rather than the custom header set for the site.

    If you’re using Jetpack on your site you should be able to disable this from Content Options in the Customizer. Go to the Customizer ->Content Options, and disable the option to show the featured image on pages. Then your pages should show the custom header image instead.

    Hi Kokkieh,

    Yes, but the thing is: without having set a featured image, but rather posted an image on the page, this image is nevertheless used in the header. See the link: https://phvitaal.nl/wat-kan-ik-je-bieden/ (scroll down for the image).

    You likely also have the Content Options setting enabled to use the first image appearing in a post as the featured image. Disable that, and this should stop happening:
