• I’ve searched, but nothing seems to apply.
The page I’ve been tinkering with works adequately in Firefox and Safari.. I haven’t used Explorer for a long time, but a friend pointed out that in Explorer the page has no header image

Any suggestions/help? I can’t say this is urgent (more an irritation at my ignorance) as the page itself seems to work.

  • I ran into this problem as well. It is fine in Windows IE but in researching I found it is a bug in Mac IE (no ignorance involved). If you use double quotes “header.jpg” instead of single quotes ‘header.jpg’ to reference the background image that should solve it. It may also work with no quotes – it is the single quotes that causes the problem.

Joan: many thanks. That worked perfectly. Sorry not to respond immediately; I was away from the machine. I appreciate your kind comment, too — but I know I’m working out of almost complete ignorance.
