We have this feature in our pro theme where we have the option to resize image ratio. We had a discussion on this topic and we’ve concluded that, this option will be added in free theme as well in our upcoming updates. Thanks for reaching out. I have contacted ThemeGrill directly as this may have an adverse effect on my credits for graduation. I am using this theme for my Capstone project, and changing it completely at this late point would be very costly from a development standpoint.

That version does not include an image resize option. We are working on including the image resize option along with other features and options. Please tune in to more info about the update.

I can’t even see, if the problem is solved in the pro version, and with a header repeating itself on a computer and being cropped to death – or a small strip with a lot of white on a phone – it’s basically useless.

the rest is fine. I don’t mind paying for stuff – but I do mind paying for something if I can’t even see if it works properly. So far it doesn’t look like it.
