• I’m trying to configure twentyfifteen theme

Header images are specified thus: 954x1300px

On desktop browsers, header image displays in leftmost vertical pane

On iPhone browsers NO header image displays, which is probably a good thingTM

On iPad, why does header image display in top horizontal pane, above else, and probably 954x100px – YES, only ~100px tall!

It’s terribly hard to create header images that work properly across all devices!

    What am I missing?

    Please, advise. Thank you.

  • Same thoughts …

    Here’s a work in progress
    https://close-that-sale.com

I like the clarity & simplicity of the theme – as a sales page, it’s all I need for this site.

However, take a look at the site on a tablet or phone and it loses impact.

On the desktop, the large vertical image is eye-catching and it’s different.

Rather than take a horizontal slice of the large (desktop) image, could there be a separate (landscape) image defined for screens that won’t accommodate the vertical image??

    Ideas welcomed

    Thanks

I am having exactly the same problem, my blog looks ridiculous on small screens as I just get a slice of my vertical image, you cannot even tell what it is!

    Ideas and help very welcome!!
